Spinal Fire is the vital force which purportedly sits dormant until activated through the practice of many esoteric arts. Once awakened this fiery serpent surges up the spine and as the legend has it leads spiritual awakening or illumination. Most know this energy by the Yogic term Kundalini others may recognize it as Qi from eastern practices such as Tai Chi and the martial arts.

“Just because you don’t want to believe something is true, that doesn’t mean it’s not true”
-Noreen Gosch mother of kidnap victim Johnny Gosch

What the Hell happened to Heaven?
The new red boat-
An eighteen foot, one hundred fifty horsepower,
State of the art fishing attack vehicle
Bumped up against the old wooden dock.
Old tires sit upon rough-hewn wooden posts
Some have old beer cans floating on the insides.
Years ago my little feet used to
Plaster the smooth wooden planks
Back and forth
Tossing shiny lures through the snaking leafy tendrils
Hoping for a brown racing streak to
Grab it in a toothy, expectant, mouth.
Old aluminum boats are still strapped to the dock

This poem was published in a national anthology and in several local publications. It's one of my best.
Circus Stars
Do you remember the marionettes at the circus?
How they plied their trade next to the popcorn booth
So the gentle breezes would spread the scent of buttered heaven,
Drawing people in from all around?
The puppet, with a twitch of an arm
A kick of a leg,
Could make us laugh hysterically
Or bitterly weep, at his whim.
And do you remember the day the strings broke?
How the puppet laid on the ground, motionless,

Capitalist Weddings
They
Those Guys Out There
Like leeches lurking in silty mud
Blood and rotting drives them wild
They
Strap love to the assembly line
Its parts are analyzed and attached
Like a car with power windows and locks
Whatever happened to just rolling down the window?
Eventually, it is approved
With its FDA/EPA/National Wedding Etiquette
Stamps of approval
Like billboards on a pristine wilderness highway…

The Religious Impulse and Extinction
By John Kedrowski
Much has been made lately about the importance of religion in our lives. We see the religious impulse growing and growing in the world around us and many of us reasoning folk are left to wonder and worry about it. I am convinced that religion is a maladaptive trait in humanity and will lead to further conflict and possibly our extinction. Thusly, it should be discarded. Others argue that it is part of the human essence and cannot be dispended.
There is no human essence.

Here is another Article That the Reader wouldn't publish...I had almost forgotten about it. I believe it was too philosophical for them. here it is unfinished in form...
Cobwebs From The Tomb
The two aims of the [Order] are to conquer the whole surface of the earth and to extinguish once and for all the possibility of independent thought

The Joys of Real ID
By John Kedrowski
This "Real ID" stuff could really be a great thing...
Yeah, having all of our personal data accessible on a single nationalized database makes it easier for people to steal your identity, but that is because we are using an out-dated technology!
So, lets get with the times!!!!
Enter, the chip...

This wonderful piece of technology could do so many things!
First, our social security number and our government information could directly be implanted into our bodies so that it will never be lost and NEVER stolen.
