I heard a prominent scientist (michu Kaku-cant figure out spelling) talking about Moore's Law recently. And he said that due to Heisenberg's uncertainty principle at some point the law will break down. currently there is a layer 10 atoms thick on a computer chip and past 5 atoms uncertainty comes into play. He also stated that when this threshold was reached there would be a global wide recession.
I recently had an epiphany related to this...
we are being drawn into a virtual world and this will only be slowed by this break down. Increasingly we tend to live "virtual lives". we all have them to an extent. when will the line blur... when will online porn become virtual sex? for this will certainly be the herald as it is the business of the internet.
the time is neigh and anime or hentai movies are the forerunners
watch for this to come out of Japan
...
Wouldn't you think that when
Wouldn't you think that when this thresh hold is reached, the virtual world's power would ultimately be limited?
"The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results."
Nano?
"we are being drawn into a virtual world and this will only be SLOWED by this break down"
Ultimately I think that this threshold will lead to new technology and innovation..such as Nano computers...
who is it that said, "necessity is the mother of invention"
I don't know how close we are to this threshold but I like my cheap computers.
